Are you tasked with planning the Wedding Shower for one of your BFF's? Or perhaps you want a hand in planning your own (we totally get that - Type A over here!) We have outlined a few tips to help make planning a wedding shower painless and enjoyable!

1. Pick A Date.  Be sure to consult with the Bride + the Entire Wedding Party and Immediate Family to try and decide on a date. We know everyone is busy, and finding a common-ground date can be a challenge, but be sure to ask.

2. Decide on Guest Count. Before falling in love with a venue for the shower, be sure to make a list of guests who need to be in attendance. Historically speaking, all women who are invited to the wedding, should be invited to the shower. Now, if the Bride is having multiple showers, be sure to cross reference your lists to make sure everyone is accounted for.

3. Venue. This is key, and will set the mood for the entire event. We are currently loving Sunday Brunch Bridal Showers or Thursday Evening Soiree's! Thursdays are the new Fridays, and we all think the weekend should be longer! If you are looking for a fancy restaurant to host the event, be sure to contact them early to confirm availability. Also keep in mind that April-June are generally the most popular months for all of those summer weddings, and therefore book VERY quickly.

4. The Eats & Drinks. We are BIG FOODIES, and think food makes the event. Be sure to pick menu items that are suitable for all of your guests, including Vegetarian/Vegan Options, Lactose-Free Options, and trying to stay clear of Peanut Products if you know there are allergies. Cost is also a big factor here; make sure you are prepared for the cost depending on the guest count you are expecting.

5. Invitations. Be sure to send out the invitations with ample amounts of time for guests to get back to you with their answers. We generally recommend 1.5-2 months out from the event, especially during the busy summer months when people are planning vacations. Whether you are sourcing invitations local or online, be sure to TRIPLE CHECK spelling and grammar before sending to print.

6. Decor. Whether you are going full-scale decorating for the event, or channeling your Inner-DIY-Self, we highly recommend trying to reuse any decor items you have purchased at your wedding if possible. This way, you are certainly getting more for your money, and can even carry your theme throughout the two events.

We know that planning a Wedding Shower takes a lot of communication, time, and concise decision making, but we have faith in you! We know you've got this, and that the day will be one the Bride will never forget!
