Staying Local - Bachelorette Party Ideas

Perhaps you are the Maid of Honour carrying out your duty of planning the Wild Night out, or collectively working together with all the wedding party to put together a low-key evening for the Bride-to-be. Either way, we know you want it to fabulously represent the Bride’s personality and be a night everyone remembers. That being said, take that into consideration before the planning begins. If the Bride is not one for crazy night outs, perhaps planning to hit all the local night clubs may not be her scene, but a wine tour may be just the thing! We have compiled a list of some ideas on how to make sure it is a Bachelorette Party to remember, while staying close to home.

Where is the Party Happening?!

The most important question of all. Make sure this is a decision made collectively by all attendees. Keep in mind that some maids may be a little tighter on cash than others, and try to accommodate as best as possible. Most importantly, remember this is a day/weekend about the bride - make sure it is somewhere she wants to go! Here are a couple great ideas in the Windsor-Essex area.

  • Board W.E Trolley for a trip to local wineries, breweries, or even a Whisky Tasting at the Canadian Club Brand Centre

  • For all the foodies out there, get everyone together for a Cooking Class at the Chef Next Door where there are plenty of different classes to choose from.

  • Learn how to make beautiful bouquets with all of your friends at The Bourbon Rose - Floral Design Co. From Table Top Centrepieces to Mason Jar Posies, it is sure to be a wonderful (and fragrant) time.

  • Rent a cottage for the night (or weekend!) in the area that is on the water, and allows everyone to put their feet up, have some drinks, and enjoy each other's company. This little cottage is the perfect escape!

  • Take this time to de-stress with your party and get pampered at a local spa, such as Estetica where you can take advantage of the Quiet Room and relax.

Making it Extra Special

Once a location has been set, try to think of ways to make the experience that much more memorable for the Bride. We have come up with a couple of ideas, that are greats way to make the day or night one for the books!

  • If you are out and about, a Photo Challenge will not only end with you having a ton of hilarious photos, but will also break the ice for those members of the Wedding Party who may not know each other that well.

  • If you are staying in, and are able to get the partner involved, playing the Newlywed Game can be fun for everyone! Ask a variety of questions, and have the answers taped - for instant replay.

  • Make sure all the girls are glammed out in either matching attire, or something to tell you are all together if you are headed out. We found these super cute temporary tattoos for everyone to enjoy courtesy of CreativeSwirlsShop.
